On Cam Rackam's site, camrackam.com ,He has various Avenged sevenfold paintings. I'm thinking about using "the harvester" as our next forum banner. Below are all the ones I found:

    "Family Portrait"

    "Fiction Death"

    "Sevenfold Bats"

The Harvester is badass, would be awesome as the next banner.

I really like Cam's style, reminds me a little of Gerald Scarfe, the guy who did the art/animation for Pink Floyd's The Wall, especially the Bat Country piece. Then at other times he's more remeniscent of the kinda Barbarian Queen type artwork you see on the back of truck cabs etc.

I keep trying to summarise which videogame interpretations of the devil his Beast and the Harlot piece reminds me of, cause it just mentally took me to a very videogamey Devil kinda place - very Diablo II. It's got that old school Warhammer kinda vibe to it as well, like right back in the good 'ole Heroquest days Smile

I'm a bit like Justin in that I sometimes think in videogames lol, although I don't/haven't played anywhere near as many or as much..and I'm not always very good lol, but I just love that whole universe, ever since years devoting all night to Sonic as a lil kid hehe Smile

See, I'm a gamer, but it's all about the WoW for me, so I don't think Cam will ever be painting anything that looks like that...

I only play certain things, cause like I say hindered by not always being that brilliant at some types, but I love the whole gaming cosmiverse Smile especially love fighting games and the way they've evolved

This isn't an artistically valid or technical point, but seriously, how cute are Syn and Johnny in the Family Portrait pic? Just adorable...I love skeletons Smile

I love the Family Portrait, it's why I got the pin badge set, which is still in its packet, leaning against my book of nightmares, on the mantelpiece underneath my Deathbat litho Wink

I love video games! I have never played WoW simply because if I did I would end up getting divorced because I would get addicted to it. Lol. Call of Duty is addictive enough. It looks really cool though. As far as fighting games, I'm terrible and get very angry so I just don't play. When I play fighting games, lots of innappropriate words come out of mouth. If two like video games, start some threads in the video game discussion section under video games. Clare, you should make the "official DBC WoW thread." :-)

I think I'm the only one with little enough of a life to actually play WoW though *says the girl with it running in another window right this second*

I'll start a thread though, see if anyone else plays too, who knows, maybe I'm not alone.

Carla I really liked the severed heads too, and I love the fact it's the navigation screen on All Excess. I like the little easter egg on Cam's art on that DVD too, much like anything that focusses on the people that surround and support the rest of the band.
