Avenged have been announced as one of the 4 bands so far for the Download Festival in the UK, June 2011, alongside System of a Down, Linkin Park and Rob Zombie. I've got my ticket already since I had such a good time this year. Anyone else coming?

Updates for the rest of the festival if anyone is interested. Night before last 20 new acts were added to the lineup and Metal Hammer confirmed some of the actual spots on the bill.
* Avenged Sevenfold will be sub-headliners to System Of A Down on the Saturday night main stage.

I'm still torn, cols I'd love to see Alice Cooper, but he's second stage which means he'll likely start part way through Avenged's set cos the second stage always finished earlier last year.

I got it from Metal Hammer's twitter initially as well although I was also a lil chuffed to have guessed some of the slots/stages just based on experience never guess days cause they don't really mean anything. I had a feeling Rob Zombie would be second stage even though it seems wrong. The biggest shock was obviously Korn but the reason totally makes sense, plus they've had a bit of a time in the wilderness. They've had Pendulum at Download before but I confess I had no idea who they were pre-CSI.
I think it would be cool to see Alice Cooper too just cause the dude is a legend and is all about the theatrics but I definitely wanna see SOAD plus even if there was no clash I seriously don't see me getting out of the crowd and round to the second stage in time lol.

Pendulum? CSI? What did I miss there? I knew Pendulum from way back in the Slam days (still love that video) and they put on one hell of a show I have been told. Mate of mine says their drummer is ace too, so looking forward to that.

I only knew Pendulum as the dudes who did the song Showdown that was used over AJ playing street hockey in CSI: NY. I remember chatting with someone, maybe Darren about the song and I ended up downloading it but I didn't know them before then. It's the one with the controversial girlfighting music video.

Okay, I know it was months ago, but does anyone have the setlist for the Download performance? I'd have paid more attention if I hadn't spent the first 4 songs nearly dying and then the rest trying to catch my breath...
