The Devil and I

The Devil's an old friend 
Who never really cared 
If I was alive
Or nearly dead
His love, forsaken 
Helped me find home

He made me feel strong.
The Devil's a close friend 
Because he's the only one

When everyone has a gun.

Who could ever be
Half as cynical as me.
