DBC's Hip Hop Thread Empty DBC's Hip Hop Thread

    Post  anDy 12/13/2010, 10:43 am

Here's a thread for those who are fans of hip hop. I know that many fans of Avenged Sevenfold, including 3 6 Mafia (oddly enough), are fans of rap and hip hop, so here is this thread.
Now, I want to make this nice and clear before we get started.

ANYBODY WHO BASHES THIS GENRE, JUST OR UNJUST, WILL HAVE THEIR POST DELETED. REPETITIVE SPAM WILL RESULT IN WARNINGS/SUSPENSIONS. THIS IS FOR THOSE WHO LIKE THE GENRE AND NOT THOSE WHO FEEL THE NEED TO BE FUNNY.
Basically, the hip hop thread ain't nothing to fuck with.

To start things off, introduce us to the style of hip hop you like the most. Maybe list your favorite albums. Here, I'll start us off =]

    In no order:
    1. Dr. Dre-The Chronic
    2. A Tribe Called Quest-Low End Theory
    3. Wu Tang Clan-36 Chambers
    4. Eminem-Slim Shady LP
    5. Cannibal Ox-The Cold Vein
    6. Public Enemy-It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
    7. Beastie Boys-Paul's Boutique
    8. Kanye West-My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
    9. Madvillain-Madvillainy
    10. Jay Z-Reasonable Doubt

Alright, let's get this shit started!

So where does a separate "Hip Hop Sucks Thread" fit in all this? Is that completely out of the question as well? cause I got to tell ya, I was working my butt off on one until I came across this post.

Don't need a section to hate on hip hop really. =P
If you'd like to, discuss why you hate it in the random discussion thread. =]

I was much more into hip hop when I was at school, I was then and remain to this day a huge Beastie Boys fan, nothing will ever change that I don't think. I liked Eminem's older stuff (late 90s) and his peers on that scene around that time. I once owned a copy of Life after Death by the Notorious B.I.G. not sure what I was thinking at the time but there it is. I've pretty much gone off that scene now, although as I said before, not the Beastie Boys.

I think I was given it as a gift, liked to make it seem like I was tough enough to hang with the skater boys when I was at school. Think I ended up re-gifting it to one of them when I left for uni Very Happy
