A new Drummer ? What about Tim D'onofrio Empty A new Drummer ? What about Tim D'onofrio

    Post  anais84 1/5/2011, 5:06 am

As you all know, A7X are going to have one or several drummers for their next gigs! I would like to see Tim d'Onofrio as their next drummer, who's following me ? (Of course, he won't replace The Rev, nobody can! but let's face it, if A7X keep on, a drummer must be found!)

For those who don't know who he is :

Tim D'Onofrio is a 24 years old from Pennsylvania. He has been a drummer for 10 years : he taught himself for the first 2 years and took lessons for the next 5. And since 3 years he's a drum teacher. He recently has been a drum technician for Halestorm. He has covered many A7X songs that you can check out here (or here by adding him on facebook because some has been flagged) and plan on covering others.

So if you share my opinion, you can act and help me to spread the word through the A7X family and make Tim known by the fans and the band by several ways :

    • That one is efficient because A7X's manager reads his tweets! So if you have Twitter you can tweet to @Lkjacobson that you want Tim as the new drummer sharing a video of him and saying what you like about him! Quite like that :
      @Lkjacobson @Vengenz1 you should check out Tim d'Onofrio https://youtu.be/juW-_ZNg2wY he's talented! #a7x

    • If you have Myspace, you can post a comment and the embed code of a Tim cover on the a7x myspace

    • In the official fan page on FACEBOOK, take the URL of one Tim's cover and put a message saying what you like in his covers

    • If you have YOUTUBE, filip93150 and anaismuse put the comment below on all the a7x covers of Tim http://wwww.youtube.com/user/counteractdrmr, you just have to thumb them up so it can be noticed by the A7X family :
To all the people that would like to see Tim as the new A7X drummer, can you thumb this up so the message can be pass :
Guys we should make Tim noticed by a7x by any ways : facebook fan page, twitter, a7x myspace ! Put at least one comment on this networks (without spamming) saying how Tim would be the best for the band! Let's team up for the a7x family!

To show him your support and making him notice, you can share that : https://www.facebook.com/pages/Us-A7X-fans-want-to-see-Tim-dOnofrio-as-the-new-A7X-drummer/165692370141005
Thank you for your help! Spread the word! =)

yep they said that they have some drummers advised by their friends! They also said that they'll fit for a time like Mike Portnoy or not! So he has his chance if we help him a bit =)

he's good but if you listen to The Rev and Mike Portnoy, they have swiss watch precision and that guy goes slightly up and down tempo which live can make the band sound sloppy. i noticed that in the beast and the harlot cover. the other factor is friendship. we don't know if he'd get along with the band and that might also cause problems.

well about the friendship he'll see once he'll meet them if it happens Very Happy
But I'm talking to him and he's not a big headed wanker for sure :') He's nice and I'm sure that if one day he meets the guys, they'll get along!

He is a good drummer but he rushes during parts.... he changes speed. is not too noticeable but is gonna bite him in the ass when playing live because it might throw the rest of the members off

Very good drummer. He speeds up and/or looses tempo whenever he seems to forget the fills, which isn't a good thing. A great drummer have a wide library of fills to take from whenever a fill is forgotten. He played Nightmare really well, as well as unholy confesssions(aside from the missed timing of the eight note tom/snare fill in the intro to UH). He had some major issues in Burn it down. But I think he could do a great job if he was allowed to practise the songs further and having it as a full-time job to play for the band. So very good drummer, but there are great drummers out there looking for a job, so why settle with someone who isn't there yet?

Yep I think that too! Because now it isn't a full time job, he has a normal job too so yeah less hours to play drums =) Otherwise he's practising like hell :')

hahaha a lot of people makes him notice :') I once saw that comment which was like "the head of Shadows, the arms of Johnny, the side of Zacky : that's 3/5s of A7x in one"
I just laughed my ass off!
