Are you alive?

Are you alive?
Are you truly alive?
Or are you just existing?
Do you wake up with optimism
Or do you wake up with doubt?
Do you smile more than you frown?
Are you happy?
You deserve to be happy
You deserve to reach for the stars and be able to touch them
You deserve to have all your dreams come true.
Life can beat you down easily if you never fight back.
We only have one life to live so why not make it the best?
Decisions are hard sometimes
but maybe you need to go through hell to get to heaven
And I'll be with you along the way no matter what you do
So if your happy then ignore my words
But if your not please acknowledge them
Or at the very least just ask yourself
Am I alive?

I really like how you pose a question at the beginning as if it's directed at the reader . And then throughout. Made me think.
