Hail to the King - next monday

From DBN:
Roxy at Hard Drive Radio is reporting that Avenged Sevenfold will drop their new single “Hail To The King”, the title track off their sixth studio album, on Monday. An interview with M Shadows will also air in HardDrive July 20th and 21st.

“[Avenged Sevenfold's] Single “Hail to the King” comes out on Monday!   Be listening to hardDrive the weekend Jul 20-21 for the tune and interview with M Shadows!”


I'm assuming that means it will be streamed on radio, and maybe A7x will release a video and stream it online?(that part is just my speculation)

In my other post on the other thread when I posted the lead up to the Nightmare release I forgot to include the lyric video they posted, which came out that monday (May 17th) on youtube.

So that's why I'm thinking they may do something similar again for the monday coming up.



So looks like we'll hear the full thing on the 15th, with a official release (when you can actually purchase it) on the 16th.

I believe she (I'm assuming a she? maybe not.. lol) is from a pretty big radio station, so I would say she is pretty credible.  have never personally listened to the station myself though, but I have heard of it. I never listen to the radio, I always plug in my ipod and play whatever on there through my car.

The link DBN posted doesn't have any of that information though, unless I'm just being blind... Can't find it on the radio stations facebook either. Maybe they just announced it on air? So yea, not sure where DBN found that out

So for next monday/Tuesday, people that will be purchasing it, Itunes updates at 12am EST. So some people will be able to purchase it on Monday. Someone like me who is on east coast has to wait til midnight (as soon as it turns Tuesday), but I believe once it hits midnight on east coast it will update for all areas, at least for all areas within the US. So someone from Cali may be able to purchase it 9pm Monday, which is 12am Tuesday on east coast (for those who may not live in US and is not sure of the time differences).

Forgive my paranoia, but ill believe it when/if I listen to it on Monday.

If DBN posts it, it's as good as gold. The girl who runs it is meticulous about everything she posts being verified by legitimate sources. She's also on a first name basis with the band. Lol

Well, anyway, haha, I think we'll get an official release date from the band tomorrow. And hopefully track listing but I'm greedy.

Play.com has the song up for pre-order and has the duration of the song at 5:05.  Also, the album art changed a little.

I'm gonna be stuck at work all day, this sucks. I want to be home, blasting Hail to the King while I pack to move house.

Does anyone know/have a guess about what time it'll come out tomorrow? Because otherwise ill be sitting and refreshing DBN and the A7X twitter feed all day.

I haven't got a clue, but I'm in the UK so I doubt it'll be at a decent time for me. Stupid time zones

Twitter is saying siriusxm Octane is going to play it at 10am, I would assume eastern time. You can get a free trial at www.siriusxm.com/freetrial

Hopefully it really will be streamed and it's not some dude on twitter being a douche. Their facebook has teased new a7x though so they probably will stream it at some point tomorrow. Apparently they said at 10am the other day on air.

Thanks! It says a new show starts at 10 am Eastern Time so I'm guessing if they do play it, it'll be the first thing they play on the show.
