I'm scared of the hangover I'm gonna have.

Finally had our work's Christmas Party last night, a whole week after Christmas. It's been an epic saga, the restaurant lost our booking, then double booked us on the night we wanted, then we had to reschedule and then they lost our meal choices...all in all a bit of a nightmare. Still, it was a good laugh once we finally go there, shame about the food being a bit rubbish...well, I say that, but the WhiteCchocolate Brownie Trifle was pretty amazing

Going out for lunch today to celebrate my boyfriend's eldest brother's birthday, hoping the food will be better

So I got some shitty news today.

I went in to get follow up chest x-rays, and my lungs are still messed up. My doctor said my x-rays were abnormal and it could be due to any number of reasons, including: severe scarring of the lungs, bronchitis, the abnormalness of my lungs is actually now normal for me because I've had asthma for twenty years, or I could have a fungal infection from breathing in all the mold in my dorm.

So, I went in for a CT scan this afternoon and we'll know in the morning. No matter what the answer is, it's not good. Blah.

I have an operation tomorrow, a major one so I will be away from the comp for a bit but I am determined to recover asap cause I will miss this place and the rest of the internet pretty soon!

Damn Amanda, that's not good honey. I hope that whatever the CT results say it's something that you can get back from. Will be thinking of you too.

Got my CT scan results back. I have a benign nodule in my lungs. So, that's not bad.

Waaaaah! Finally got a copy of the magazine I got one of my cakes featured in. I submitted it about 18 months ago, had all but forgotten about it till I got a letter back in November.




Makes me so chuffed to see my cake there in print

If I lived closer to any of you guys I totally would. I got a bit inspired in chatbox with Rog and Justin the other night to attempt a Deathbat cake, so that's my project for this weekend. If it turns out right I'll put up some pics.

Oooh, that's awesome news. We were a bit like that with where we live now, my bf's parents own it so we helped with all the decorating so it was how we wanted when we moved in

Ugh, I'm so glad to be back at college. I've had a nice couple of days here. It feels good to be back with friends.

chat meals make u lose fat faster. my cheat meals are on the weekends where i can eat whatever the fuck i want. a bucket of lard even. but i wont cuz lard is only tasty on some tacos

You can have my job, I've lost half a stone in 6 months even with the sodas and chocolate I eat every day, just from charging up and down the shop floor umpteen times a day. My store is about 28,000 square feet I think...

I'm on vacation in Florida/Georgia till friday so I'll be a little less active than usual. I plan on making some banners or wallpapers on the planeride home. Actually I may make some today or 2morrow.

that's why I still miss working in a shop - I miss the public, crazy as they may be, and I miss the exercise - didn't even realise how much I was getting till I moved to an office Working in an office is lethal, cause you don't move PLUS you end up snacking from boredom. Our current building is so bad for that cause there's not really anywhere great to go for lunch but we're moving this year to shiny new offices which will have much nicer facilities and a giant staircase, so that should help with my plan to get fitter this year

I'm pretty sure that I'm in love with one of my best friends and it kinda scares me.

It didn't hit me until last night when he was sprawled out on my bed trying to go to sleep. At first I was like "wtf are you doing" and then internally, I thought he looked adorable. Since then, it's like it hit me like a wave. I feel like he realizes something is up.

So I've gone back to my old small store for 2 weeks, ostensibly as management cover while they have people on holiday, but really it's an audition for one of the vacant management roles. Today was my first day and I was getting praise at the end of it, so hopefully that's a good sign. Just need to keep it up.
