Normally I'm pretty full of praise for the national health service here in the UK, but today they really let me down and I'm somewhere between utterly depressed and really fucking angry. I've been suffering knee problems for the best part of a decade now, had surgery 4 years ago to remove damaged cartilege etc. It's been getting worse these last few months and I saw a specialist physio today who basically took a look at my notes and told me I have osteo-arthritis. No-ones ever told me this before. There's probably a lot I could have been doing these last 4 years to stop myself ever getting to the stage I'm at now, so why the hell was I never told?!

    Dear You Know Who.

I don't hold grudges, I never have, I never will. But, I am coming this close to making an exception with you. You say I've been referencing you to my friend? And what about all the things you say on your Twitter, about me, eh? Okay yes, I admit to 'stalking' your feed...but when you hint at things on my forums I can't help but look. You obviously have the nerve to sneak a look at my feed. To find out that I'm talking about you. Also, I don't know how you know what I said to my friend considering it was all kept to DM! So, honestly. You're making yourself look the bigger b*tch than me.

    Sincerely,

An Ex-Friend who honestly feels bad for you.

Turned 30 yesterday, have been signed off work for nearly 2 weeks already due to my knee giving me shit, got another 2 weeks signed off too. Supposed to be going swimming in 5 minutes to exercise my knee, but feel like I'm gonna throw up so I'm not going. Life bites, think I might just go back to bed Sad

OMG!!! affraid I love you both, but when you work together, NOTHING gets done! There were THREE of us tonight and you leave us 12 (at least) racks to package. Never mind that there's a sale on and you didn't even touch the sale stuff. Never mind that we still had to leave three racks unpackaged!

And YOU! I know I could've read that schedule wrong, but I checked it SEVERAL times! When the fuck did you change it? You bastard. Two people swear it wasn't changed, but at least one other (if not two others) are pretty sure I was down for tonight and not tomorrow night. Lucky for you the plans I made were flexible. Oh, and you're welcome for the extra seven hours I worked tonight.

Today is going to be hell on earth. Massage yesterday to try and fix my incredibly stiff neck and knotted back has left me feeling like my entire back is bruised and I flinch if anyone touches it.

I've got physiotherapy/acupuncture in 25 minutes, so here I am eating breakfast and the filling I had on one of my back teeth in New Zealand decides to break and fall out. So now I've got a huge, sharp chunk out of the back of my tooth just in time for my interview in a couple of hours.

    Screw you life, seriously.

Now, that can be okay to an extent, but with thousands of users, it's going to get old. I like the size of this board. It's slowly growing, but yet you have time to get to know people and things don't get out of hand.

Though this is an old post I felt like adding my two cents, I'd prefer an 'official' forum [if it were to ever be started] to be started by the band itself just as Simple Plan has done. The band themselves don't officially run it, but it's part of their official site, is run by their official web crew and they post on there themselves. All initiated by the band. Not outside influence.

    *grumbles and growls*

I wanna try and boost my fitness from it's current non-existent levels to something approaching being able to walk up a hill and not get out of breath. I need to do this for my knee, shifting some weight will take some of the load off and hopefully reduce the pressue I put on it.

So why are gym memberships so frigging expensive? Cheapest I can find around here is dependent on me re-joining my archery club and being a member of that sports club so I can get cheap membership at the sports centre across the road. But even then it's still £24 a month which I can't justify right now. Ugh!

CiaraCobb: Yeah here in Canada, gym are expensive too!! But I don't like gym I already tried it but get bored lol So, what I do is really simple lol I take a daily walk about 40 minutes each days. But not a slowly walk a fast walk is better to lost weight and burnt calories Wink And listen to music is encouraging too I follow the beat of what I'm listening to, it help, because without music we start faster and oops when we arrive at home the speed of the walk has slow down a bit lol It's normal also to feel out of breath it's a good sign that you are burning calories, well not at the point to can't breath and fall on the floor unconscious lol Wink

I agree with the fact that gym can make us lost weight more faster, walking is a bit slower but I prefer that and of course being careful of what we eat help too Smile The tricks it's to include your exercise in a routine like that it's pretty easier to stay stick on it Wink In two years I lost 44 pounds maybe I would have lost this weight in one years at the gym but well it's my personal way to lost weight and stay in shape when you don't like gym and don't want to spend to much money too Wink

I'd love to go walking like that, but the pain in my knee means I can't go very far at all without being in a lot of pain (like I am right now after walking round delivering leaflets for work). This is why I need to actually go see someone and create a workout programme that will exercise my body without wrecking my knee any further.

    Post  CiaraCobb 2/12/2012, 12:31 am

We've been away this last week, I had to go to Scotland to pick a bridesmaid's dress for my friend's wedding, see my mum for her birthday and go see the eternally awesome Dream Theater in concert. We planned it so that while we were away our builders were gonna come in, rip out our bathroom and fit a new one.

The week before we went they called and said they'd been delayed on the job they were on so rather than start Monday they wouldn't be here till Wednesday. That wasn't ideal but there wasn't a lot we could do about it.

So off we went, had a lovely week, and we travelled home yesterday. It's a drive of a few hundred miles in not the best weather, and I was tired, sore from sleeping on my friend's couch, and eager to sleep in my own bed. We walked in the door and I swear to you I am not exaggerating when I say it looks like something exploded! My bf's mother described it as looking like The Somme and the woman isn't prone to hyperbole.

They started on Wednesday taking the tiles off the wall from the old shower and promptly all the plaster started coming down too. They ended up having to rip down the plaster on half the room and re-do it which took all day Wednesday and Thursday. I have a functioning toilet but nothing else in the bathroom, and my ENTIRE house is languishing under a layer of dust. They didn't use protective sheets anywhere or shut any doors so literally every room is filthy. This meant that after our drive home yesterday we then had to spend 2 hours cleaning so that we'd be able to sleep.

I start my new job a week on Monday and at this rate I'm not gonna be able to shower in my own house before I start work. My bf is being his typical, so laid back he's horizontal self about this and thinks it's mostly hilarious. I'm not so amused.

My god, that was an epic rant, but I really needed to get that off my chest.

    Oh...my...God...

Damn they are idiot and incompetent Shocked You should be exhausted traveling and come back home with an house like that! Poor you that awful all that! I would be really angry against builders. No protective sheets my god! Sore, tired and you had to clean your house to be able to sleep it's disgusting! And I understand why you needed to let this out of your chest! It's totally understandable!

The company one of my very good friends works for is in trouble, they look like they are going under and have called in the administrators. My friend just happens to be several months pregnant. I've been trying to keep in touch with her as obviously with the baby and a wedding on the horizon if anything happens to the company her job is in trouble. Now, I think that's fair, don't you? I'm worried about my friend.

This morning she posts on facebook "To all of my "friends" texting me for gossip about GAME.... Go fuck yourselves! Just go watch the news and get info off there! That's what all my pig ass rude customers are doing and loving the thought of our "closing down sales!" Fuck you all!"

If she means me then I'm caught somewhere between sadness and being really pissed off. I have been watching the news, I even silenced my entire staffroom at work yesterday when it came on. I've also been reading news online, my texts to her have solely been concerned with her and how it will affect her, I couldn't give a shit about closing down sales or anything like that.

I understand that a tight budget means important things trump the "I want" category of the budget. I get that. But this is *twice* now that I've had to bump something I actually budget for. When do I get a break?

And ISL: GO FUCK YOURSELF! I'm *not* calling you because I'll either shout at you in anger or end up in tears again. I'm doing the best I can with what I've got. If you can't accept that, then we've got a bigger problem than I thought.

I hate feeling depressed all the time. I hate wondering if my checks are going to be enough. I hate asking Scott for help...because he always ends up making me feel bad for it. But if my unemployment runs out I'M FUCKED.

I want to go back to school. But I can't take my core classes online...why not? If I work days, I get more or less guaranteed hours. If I work closing, not so much...lots of leaving early because the work is done ahead of time. I don't know what to do. And if I do go back and can't find a job here in Dodge...will Scott be okay with me going somewhere else to live?

I feel like no one cares anymore...and I don't want to burden my friends with this stuff since they all have their own problems. Scott's no help, either, so I don't talk to him. I'm so stressed out, I want to quit and give up, but I stick around. I don't know how to relieve the stress and I know I'm a giant bitch to people without meaning it. *sigh* I just don't know what to do.

People said go to college you'll get a great job. They didn't bother mentioning that majoring in what I did meant "be a teacher only". Fuck that shit I don't want to be a teacher. I think I got out of here, I'd have a better chance, but we can't leave if I don't have a better job, but I have to leave to get a better job. *headdesk*

    I feel so alone...

I feel you on the college thing. I did 5 years at university, have a Masters in English, and pretty much since I left University I've been working in retail. This new job hopefully will actually challenge me a bit more (well I know it's doing that, the last couple of days have been a struggle).

Kel, if you need someone to vent at, just yell, I'll do what I can. I hope you manage to find something soon, *hugs*
